Garlic Prawns in white wine |
Ingredients:
- 1 lbs of Jumbo Prawns...cleaned and shell off.
- 2 to 3 table spoon of white wine
- 1 table spoon of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 table spoon of unsalted butter
- 6-8 cloves of garlic...minced
- 2 large shallots....minced
- Green onions and cilantro....fine chopped
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 table spoon of ketchup, soy sauce to taste (FOR FRIED RICE)
Preparations:
- for Fried Rice....add 1 table spoon of oil and half of the shallots and 1/4 of the minced garlic in to a pan or wok on medium high heat , non stick prefer. After stirring for 1 minute, not to burn the garlic add ketchup and sir. Add rice and soy sauce to taste continue to stir until is evenly cook, when finished add cilantro and green onions.
- to cook the prawns start with a sauteed pan on high heat and add in 1 table spoon of olive oil and the remaining garlic and shallots. Stir for a few seconds then add the prawns and toss to cook evenly. Add salt and pepper to taste but do not over cook the prawns. When prawns are half way done add in the white wine. Take out the prawns after their done and plate with fried rice. Turn the heat off and add butter to the white wine sauce adjust your seasonings and add the cilantro and green onions to sauce then pour over prawns.
