Vietnamese Style Spare Ribs (Suon Ram) |
Ingredientss
2 pounds of spare ribs, cut into small pieces.
2 tablespoon of fish sauce, 2 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of dark sweet soy sauce, 1 table spoon of oyster sauce
1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of onion powder
2 minced cloves of garlic and 2 stock of green onions
2 table spoons of white wine, 1/3 can of 7-up
Fresh ground black pepper, up to your liking
in a deep non-stick pan, brown your ribs on all sides without any oil, fat from the meat will rendered. Do not overcrowd the pan or ribs will not brown, do it in two batch.
add ribs back to ban after done browning and combined all ingredients except for green onions, which will be added at the end.
cook for 40 minutes covered then remove lid and continue to cook until most of liquid is gone. Adjust seasoning if need and fold in green onions.
Serve with rice.
