At the grand opening, VietMac servers had to explain to customers that the new product "is like a hamburger but the meat is covered by Vietnamese rice" and "the way to enjoy it is quite similar to how you eat a hamburger, except we include soup and vegetables because they are integral to Vietnamese cuisine."
Seven months after the first VietMac restaurant opened, there are now six in Ha Noi. The number will be increased to 40 restaurants in Ha Noi and HCM City by the end of this year, as expected by VietMac.
