Orange County worse mass murder in history at a Salon with 8 people confirmed dead


LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – The Salon Meritage Seal Beach shooting today has become the worse Orange County killing this century. The Salon Meritage shooting today left 8 persons dead. To date, the worse mass killing ever to strike Orange County was the 1976 attack by Edward Charles Allaway that left seven persons dead.

The suspect in the Salon Meritage Seal Beach has yet to be charged. But the male white individual was arrested a half mile from the crime scene at 1:30 pm PST, the large framed male arrived at the Salon Meritage Seal Beach reportedly dressed in bullet proof attire.

He entered the salon and reportedly began shooting. Unconfirmed news reports claim that the suspect’s ex-wife works in the salon. Six persons were fatally injured instantly. Unconfirmed reports claim that several persons inside the salon were able to flee to safety. But three additional persons reportedly suffered gunshot wounds during the attack.

The male suspect then reportedly fled the scene in his vehicle. Bowles tells local news that officers reportedly got a positive identification from a witness about the suspect and his car. Roughly a half mile away, officers pulled the suspect over. He reportedly surrendered peacefully.

A quick perusal of the suspect’s vehicle by officers revealed one or more assault weapons, claims reports. He was reportedly attempted to head to a residential area of Huntington Beach. The male is currently in custody of Seal Beach Police Department. At the time of his traffic stop, he was reportedly wearing body armor. In 1976, Orange County suffered its worst mass murder ever. Edward Charles Allaway killed seven persons on the California State University, Fullerton, in Fullerton, California, United States. He had purchased a rile at the nearby Buena Park Kmart. He was later diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.
